About l'Atelier May
What we Stand For
L'Atelier May was born from a desire to manifest our inner capacity to lead our lives intentionally through the objects surrounding us in our homes.
The choices we make about what we consume have a profound impact on our planet.
This notion extends beyond food to everything we bring into our homes today.
l'Atelier May is committed to ensuring that what we buy, how we buy, and who made it all align with our equity, justice, and sustainability values.
We aim to help you create a home that reflects these principles while embracing beauty and craftsmanship.
Welcome to l'Atelier May, a space where coming home means coming home to a place thoughtfully adorned with purpose and care.
Who we are
I grew up in rural Provence, France, in the 1970s, surrounded by a family of seamstresses, antique dealers, mattress makers, and entrepreneurs. For us, intentionality and sustainability were not just trends but ways of life.
Now in my early 50s, I've spent the past three decades in Brooklyn, NY, where life has unfolded in countless ways. I have owned and operated Maison May for the past 20 years and work as a Transformational Coach. I’m delighted to bring together my family heritage and personal experience through l'Atelier May, where I blend intentionality, beauty, and functionality in our homes.
Adding another layer to this journey, my younger son, Lucas, has joined me in this endeavor.
Thank you for being here with us.
